Barista Sista Coffee Roasters operates from Nuriootpa, nestled in South Australia’s scenic Barossa Valley. This boutique, family-owned micro-roastery began in 2011 when Diana needed a sea change in careers so did a barista course in 2011. Diana and her husband Nigel have lived in the valley for 25 years.

A Journey into Artisan Roasting

In 2012, they opened a friendly café on Murray Street. It quickly evolved into a full-scale roastery when they discovered a deeper love for the craft. They learned that exceptional coffee depends on bean quality, roast profile, barista skill, and equipment. Since then, they’ve dedicated themselves to perfecting their craft.

Today, they roast small batches of specialty-grade Arabica beans, with many coffee lines certified organic. Every bean is roasted, stamped, and bagged right on-site by Diana and Nigel. Their flagship offering, the Barista Sista House Blend, won Bronze at the 2019 AUS/NZ Golden Bean Awards for its smooth, balanced flavour with nutty and caramel notes.
