ISBN Barcodes for Books
Do you have an ISBN number?
Yes – If you have an ISBN number for your book, you can purchase the barcode images for your number below.
No – If you don’t have an ISBN number yet, you first need to get an ISBN number from the Australian ISBN Agency (there is a charge for these numbers). After you have your ISBN number, please come back here & purchase ISBN barcode images (the vertical black bars & white spaces). Alternatively you can get an ISBN number from Ipubnet in the UK for £15.
You will receive your ISBN barcode images from us by email (in 5 different formats: jpeg, tiff, bmp, eps & pdf). We can supply these in either standard 13 digit format, or with the optional extra 5 digit price supplement after the main barcode. If you want the version with the 5 digit supplement, let us know when you make the order, and tell us what you want encoded in the barcode supplement. These barcodes can be used worldwide.
Note: Crossword books and colouring-in books do not use ISBNs. They use standard retail barcodes (EAN-13 barcodes) which can be purchased here.
ISBN Barcode Images (for Books)
You will be requested to enter your ISBN numbers when you get to the checkout form. When we receive your order we’ll use your ISBN numbers to create your barcode images. We’ll email the barcode images through to you in 2 styles (one with the ISBN number printed above the barcode; the other without the ISBN number printed above the barcode); and 5 formats for each style (jpeg, tiff, bmp, eps, pdf). You can choose which style & which format to use.

How to use your ISBN barcode:
After we receive your order, we will use your ISBN number to create your barcode images.
Your barcode images will be emailed to you in 5 different formats (jpeg, eps, bmp, tiff & pdf) and 2 different styles (so you will receive a total of 10 images). One style will have your ISBN number printed above the bars of the barcode (like in the example above), the other style will not.
You can choose which barcode format & style you prefer, and insert the barcode picture into the design for the cover of your book before printing. If your book has already been printed, you can order sticky barcode labels for your ISBN number & manually attach them to each book.
ISBN Barcode with Price Code:
If you would like your barcode image to include a price code, like in the example above, please let us know when placing your order. A “0” at the start of the 5 digit supplement represents the £ sign. Alternatively a ‘5’ is US Dollars. These are the only currencies that can be represented in an ISBN Barcode.
