Melbourne-based, The Vegan Dairy make premium products that are 0% dairy, 100% delicious and 100% plant-based.
The brains behind The Vegan Dairy are husband and wife, Brittany and Bronson. Their foray into vegan cheese began with an attempt to make a dairy-free version of Bronson’s favourite persian feta. A few jars shared with loved ones quickly became a few dozen jars at Britt’s mother’s market stall. Eventually this snowballed into a full-time career making delicious dairy substitutes for favourite products.
Their talents developed over time thanks to an upbringing rich in cooking and cheesemaking. As long-time vegetarians and newbie plant-based eaters, they were always hunting for tasty dairy-free equivalents. In the end, after a lot of disappointing purchases and then a lot of experimentation, they start making their own.
Also big factor in why they started The Vegan Dairy was to create products that were kinder to the environment. Today TVD has 100% waste-free production. This is made possible by on-site composting facilities. In addition where goods are received in undesirable packaging (such as nuts in vacuum-sealed bags), they are carefully sorted and sent to local facilities ensuring every single bit of waste from production is at the very least recycled. Britt and Bronson are always looking for new ways to make the range as earth, animal and tummy friendly as possible.
